The challenge
SL Benfica is the team with the highest number of official titles in Portugal and the fifth club in Europe. To consolidate its leadership also in the digital world, it signed an agreement with Telecoming to innovate in its relationship with fans. The idea was to build a mobile service to transforms that connection into an endless game.
The service
We created a 100% addressed digital service to their fan community. It is a unique mobile service with the latest news and player profiles, extensive video content, real-time data, and complete gamification. We have offered Benfica fans what they were waiting for: High–quality content delivered in different sections, last-minute updates of the latest news related to match classifications and results, and an exclusive fan zone. The SL Benfica mobile service is an innovation in the way the club delivers text, data, video and image content to their audience.
